McFarland Technology Inc. has more than 10 years of experience in the development of software for science and engineering applications. Our work in scientific software began at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006, where we led the development of laboratory software tools for microbiology research. We have developed software tools for microbiologists at the University of New Mexico. Since 2011, we have been working with Federal Government nuclear scientists developing software tools for research and development. For these projects, we provide nuclear engineering consulting services and build software tools for verification and validation of models and simulators. Starting in 2016, we have been developing software tools for neurology research for the University of Pittsburgh.
Our work in scientific software development uses open source tools, such as Python, MySQL Database, FORTRAN, and MATLAB, and commercial software tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server and C#.
McFarland Technology Inc. uses methodologies, such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), in scientific/engineering software projects to create models and prototypes to accurately capture complex requirements and minimize software development time and cost.
